So whatâs the story? It all started way back when Right Said Fred were too sexy for their shirts and Downhill wasnât even part of the World Cup. Yep, way back in 1991 Rex and Marilyn Trimnell got things started with X-Lite UK.
After designing and manufacturing the worldâs first twin crown bicycle fork, Rex created a perfectly pink spray to clean his kit. Long story short, Rexâs cleaner was the best thing since sliced bread, and it wasnât long before word got out and Muc-Off was born.
Fast-forward to today and Muc-Off is now the go-to brand for top riders and racers, from EF Pro Cycling to Scott Redding, weâve got a stack of incredible athletes and teams using our products to keep them at the top of their game. And, in case you havenât noticed, we do a bit more than our original pink cleaner these days. We have an amazing range of lubricants, sprays, apparel and even antibacterial products â you name it, weâve got it!
Weâre always cooking up something new, and all our ideas are developed at our in-house, state-of-the-art R&D Centre by Rexâs son, Alex, our MD (Mad Developer). After heâs come up with something new, itâs tested by our in-house boffins and riders to ensure every Muc-Off product has the awesomeness turned up to eleven. Our products are made by riders, for riders, and thatâs why weâre a little different. We break the mould.
