Our Big Bore Lite and Presta Valves are now available in a Bosch-ready split sizing configuration, giving you the clearance needed for correct speed sensor magnet positioning.

Both valve sets are compatible with rim depths up to 30mm.

Big Bore Tubeless Valves: Fitting Instructions

  1. 1. Identify the correct valve for each wheel before fitting. The XL valve is for the rear wheel, where it fits through the Bosch speed sensor magnet. The L valve is for the front wheel.
  2.
  3. 2. Remove the ball valve body, cap, locking ring and O-ring from the valve stem.
  4.
  5. 3. Choose the correct rubber base for your rim profile. Use the circular base for curved rims and the square base for square rim sections. Spare rubber bases are included to help you get the best fit.
  6.
  7. 4. Slide the rubber base onto the valve stem, then push the valve through the rim from the inside. Fit the O-ring so it sits flush against the outside of the rim.
  8.
  9. 5. On the rear wheel, slide the Bosch speed sensor magnet onto the XL valve stem, directly above the O-ring. Make sure the flat side of the magnet faces outwards towards the sensor.
  10.
  11. 6. Thread the locking ring onto the valve stem. On the rear wheel, tighten the locking ring down onto the Bosch speed sensor magnet. On the front wheel, tighten the locking ring down onto the O-ring. Tighten by hand only and do not overtighten.
  12.
  13. 7. Fit the ball valve body onto the valve stem and tighten by hand. Use a 4mm hex key to hold the stem in place, then use the Big Bore Valve Spanner to give the valve body a final quarter turn.
  14.
  15. 8. Push down firmly on the valve base inside the rim while tightening the locking ring, until the O-ring slightly compresses and creates an airtight seal.
  16.
  17. 9. Open the valve lever, add Muc-Off Sealant and inflate to your desired PSI. Close the valve before removing the pump.
  18.
  19. 10. Check that the tyre is seated correctly, that no air is escaping from around the valve, and that the magnet passes cleanly in front of the Bosch speed sensor before riding.
  20.
  21. Top Tip: Keep the Big Bore Valve Spanner in your Saddle Pack or Essentials Case, so it is close to hand if you ever need to remove the valve whilst out riding.

V2 Tubeless Valves: Fitting Instructions

  1. 1. Identify the correct valve for each wheel before fitting. The XL valve is for the rear wheel, where it fits through the Bosch speed sensor magnet. The L valve is for the front wheel.
  2.
  3. 2. Remove the valve cap, locking ring and O-ring from the valve stem.
  4.
  5. 3. Choose the correct rubber base for your rim profile. Use the circular base for curved rims and the square base for square rim sections. Spare rubber bases are included to help you get the best fit.
  6.
  7. 4. Slide the chosen rubber base onto the valve stem, making sure it sits fully against the base of the valve.
  8.
  9. 5. Push the valve stem through the valve hole from the inside of the rim. Make sure the rubber base sits neatly against the inside of the rim.
  10.
  11. 6. Fit the O-ring onto the outside of the valve stem and slide it down until it sits flush against the outside of the rim.
  12.
  13. 7. On the rear wheel, slide the Bosch speed sensor magnet onto the XL valve stem, directly above the O-ring. Make sure the flat side of the magnet faces outwards towards the sensor.
  14.
  15. 8. Thread the locking ring onto the valve stem. On the rear wheel, tighten the locking ring down onto the Bosch speed sensor magnet. On the front wheel, tighten the locking ring down onto the O-ring. Tighten by hand only and do not overtighten.
  16.
  17. 9. Push down firmly on the valve base inside the rim while tightening the locking ring, until the O-ring slightly compresses and creates an airtight seal.
  18.
  19. 10. If needed, use a 4mm Allen key in the machined slot at the base of the valve stem to hold the valve steady during fitting or removal.
  20.
  21. 11. Refit the valve cap. The spare alloy valve cap includes an integrated valve core removal tool, which can be used to remove the Presta valve core when adding sealant through the valve.
  22.
  23. 12. Remove the valve core, add Muc-Off Tubeless Sealant, then refit the valve core and inflate the tyre to your desired PSI.
  24.
  25. 13. Check that the tyre is seated correctly, that no air is escaping from around the valve, and that the magnet passes cleanly in front of the Bosch speed sensor before riding.
  26.
  27. Top Tip: Keep the spare valve cap with integrated valve core removal tool in your Saddle Pack or Essentials Case, so it is close to hand if you ever need to top up sealant or remove the valve core while out riding.
